Meet from 6:30 p.m. at the speed skating track in Heepen.
At around 7:00 p.m., we will set off on the route together.

The event starts on the track at Lübrasser Weg in Heepen. From there, we will skate an approximately 11 km route through Heepen before returning to the starting point. Drinks and refreshments will be available for participants there. Afterwards, we would like to round off the evening together with music and a great atmosphere.

The entire event will be supported by the City of Bielefeld and the police, and the route will be secured accordingly.

The Bielefeld Skate Night will take place on 7 August 2026 The start and finish are located at the training facility of SV Heepen’s speed skating division (track, Lübrasser Weg).

The total length of the circular route is approximately 11 km. 

Participation in the Skate Night is only permitted on inline skates or roller skates. Participants must be able to skate and brake safely.

We strongly recommend wearing a helmet and full protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads and wrist guards). This is for your own safety. Helmets are mandatory only for participants under the age of 16.

The event is free of charge and no registration is required.

The event will only be cancelled if prolonged rain is forecast or a severe weather warning is issued. We will still start if the roads are wet or there is light rain. In the event of a cancellation, we will provide information as early as possible on our website and Instagram. Please understand that, when the weather situation is uncertain, we will try for as long as possible to hold the event or at least skate one shortened lap. For this reason, a cancellation may sometimes be announced at short notice.
 

Participation in the Skate Night is only permitted on inline skates or roller skates. Bicycles, e-scooters, skateboards, longboards and other recreational sports equipment are not permitted.

We strongly recommend wearing a helmet and full protective gear. Participation is at your own risk!

Animals and sound systems are not permitted, except for sound systems used by the organisers.
The instructions of the event marshals must be followed at all times.
Skating is permitted only on the road, not on the pavement.
Skate forwards only.
Alcohol is strictly prohibited, and a zero-alcohol limit applies.
A one-metre-wide lane must be kept clear on the left-hand side, next to the centre line, for the event marshals at all times.
Children and young people under the age of 16 must wear a helmet and
may participate only when accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
The Skate Night is not suitable for complete beginners. Participants must be able to skate safely and have full control of their braking technique.
For better visibility, we recommend wearing reflective clothing and carrying a flashing or steady light.
Photos and videos of you may be taken during the event. By participating, you consent to their unrestricted publication in all media.
We reserve the right to exclude participants from the event if they fail to comply with the rules.
